Theme
The focus of the projects should be on strengthening peace, security and governance, helping to build trust and cooperation and tackling the root causes of conflict.
Under that theme, we would welcome bids for cross-border or cross-community projects; projects involving the media, or in the information sector; sports, arts or entrepreneurship; projects promoting shared values such as open societies, human rights, democracy, and post-conflict reconciliation; projects that preferably - but not necessarily - address or involve young people.
Project bid guidance

the British Embassy in Zagreb aims to support projects with activities taking place between November 2021 and March 2022, with no expectation of continued funding beyond the stated period

each bid should include a project budget breakdown
Project bids will be assessed against the following criteria:
- alignment with the above-mentioned thematic priorities
- outcomes that are achievable within the funding period
- activity design that includes clear evaluation procedures and measures of impact
- project design that includes risk and financial accountability procedures
- safeguarding policies which ensure protection of beneficiaries, especially vulnerable individuals and children
- overall value for money
Bidding process
- Proposals must be submitted using the project bid template (ODT, 7.12KB) and the Activity Based Budget template (ODT, 15.2KB).
- All proposals must be received by 26 October 2021. Late proposals will not be considered.
