Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a building fire at Wallsend causing extensive damage last night, NSW Police say.
Just before 10pm (Thursday 21 December 2017), emergency services attended Council Street after receiving information smoke was emanating from the roof of a vacant building.
The fire was extinguished and the building was seriously damaged.
A crime scene was established and investigations are continuing.
