Burglary Appeal, Bushland Beach

Police are appealing for information in relation to vehicle and property offences in Bushland Beach last night, 9 March.

Police were called around 10.50pm when two unknown offenders gained access to an address on Minstrel Court through an unlocked door.

Early investigations indicate the offenders had stolen the keys to a grey Ford Ranger when they were disturbed by the 29-year-old male homeowner.

It is alleged the man chased the offenders who entered the vehicle and began driving away.

The man then attempted to grab an offender through a vehicle window while it was moving, when he fell and sustained non-life-threatening physical injuries.

The vehicle then left Minstrel Court toward Lynwood Avenue.

The man was taken to Townsville University Hospital for treatment.

The vehicle has not yet been recovered.

Police are appealing for anyone with relevant information or CCTV to contact police.

Investigations continue.
