Burglary & Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle at Roma, QLD

Detectives have charged a man after an alleged burglary and numerous offences involving the use of motor vehicles at Roma on December 4, Queensland Police say.

Police will allege at around 10am the 24-year-old Roma man and an associate attended an Elmer Street residence where they stole property and a car.

It is alleged at around 1pm, police attempted to intercept the two men who were travelling in two vehicles on Six Mile Road.  It is alleged the men drove the vehicles in a dangerous manner, travelling at excessive speed and swerving on the road, forcing police to abandon their attempts to pull over the men.

It is alleged the men drove to an address on Dunkeld Road where they stole property and a vehicle.

It is further alleged the men set fire to the two stolen vehicles causing extensive damage to both.

At about 1pm yesterday, police located the man at a Daisy Street address in Miles.

The man was arrested and charged with a total of nineteen offences including burglary, arson, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

The man was kept in custody and is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on December 6.
