Burglary, Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle and Enter with Intent, Logan District

Police have released vision as part of their investigation into a stolen vehicle which was used during a series of offences across the Logan District on Saturday May 11 and Sunday May 12.

Sometime between 10.00am and 3.20pm on May 11, a blue 2015 Mazda CX5 station wagon bearing Queensland registration plates "24MSN", was stolen during a burglary at an address on Treetops Avenue, Springfield Lakes.

Around 1.00am on May 12, four people forced entry to an Italian restaurant on City Road, Beenleigh, by smashing the front glass doors.

The four people then stole cash from the premises, before running back to the stolen Mazda, which was parked outside.

Officers patrolling the area sighted the four people running from the business to the stolen vehicle and attempted to intercept the vehicle, but the Mazda evaded police on Boundary Street and was last seen heading down Logan River Road.

Around 3.40am, the stolen vehicle was used to force entry to an Indian grocery-store at Kingston Road, Slacks Creek, by ramming the front glass door.

Two offenders entered the store and stole property, before fleeing the scene in the vehicle in an easterly direction along Kingston Road.

Around 2.30pm, police located the stolen vehicle at Dorothy Street, Woodridge, with extensive damage to the rear.

Police are appealing to anyone with information in relation to any of these offences, to come forward.
