Detectives are investigating a violent burglary incident at Esk that occurred early this morning, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary investigations indicate that about 5am, two men have entered a residence on Hampton Esk Road and assaulted two men who were asleep inside.
The men threatened the occupants with firearms and demanded cash.
The men left a short time later with a quantity of property.
Both occupants had their injuries treated at the scene.
Investigations are continuing.
