Burglary with violence in Crestmead, QLD

Detectives are investigating a violent burglary incident that occurred in Crestmead this afternoon, Queensland Police say.

At about 1pm, two men armed with a tomahawk axe entered a residence on Limerick Drive via a rear locked door.

The men threatened a female occupant and demanded her mobile phone and keys to her car.

The men attempted to flee the scene in the woman’s vehicle however were unable to start it, resulting in the men leaving in the vehicle they arrived in with the stolen property.

No one was injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
