Passengers on a day tour to the Hunter Valley called police to the M1 Motorway last night, with concerns the bus driver was intoxicated, NSW Police say.
The passengers forced the driver to stop on the side of the motorway at Mooney Mooney about 7pm (22 October 2016), and police were alerted.
Police attached to Brisbane Waters Local Area Command located the bus and subjected the 43-year-old man to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.
The man was arrested and taken to Gosford Police Station where he was submitted to a breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.105.
He was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for mid-range PCA and his licence was suspended.
The man is due to appear before Gosford Local Court on Wednesday 16 November 2016.
It’s believed the coach had been chartered by a western Sydney church group.
