Bus driver cut with knife by passenger in Blacktown

A bus driver has been injured after being attacked with a knife at Blacktown.

Emergency services were called to Blacktown Railway Station about 1.30pm (Saturday 12 January 2019), where they found the male bus driver, aged in his 30s, with a cut to his ear.

It will be alleged an 18-year-old male passenger attacked the driver, before fleeing on foot.

The driver was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command attended, establishing a crime scene and launching an investigation.

A short time later the 18-year-old man presented himself at Blacktown Hospital.

He was arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station, where he is currently assisting with inquiries.
