Business Assistance Grants - Now Open

Business support and promotion

Campaspe businesses are being encouraged to diversify and expand, or even just start up, with $25,000 of available funding support through round one of Council's Business Assistance Grant.

General Manager Community, Keith Oberin said while the grants are relatively small, the impact for the business and local economy is great. Council wants to motivate start up/new businesses, attract new business and encourage business growth.

Funding is available in four categories:

  1. Start up / new
  • Operating less than one year
  • 2-10 full time equivalent employees
  • Maximum grant per application $3,000

2. Small business

  • 2-10 full time equivalent employees
  • Maximum grant per applicant $5,000

3. Medium business

  • More than 10, but less than 20 full time equivalent employees
  • Maximum grant per applicant $10,000

4. Large business

  • More than 20 full time equivalent employees
  • Maximum grant per applicant $15,000

"The application will be assessed against the criteria and businesses individual merits," Mr Oberin said.

Council will open the Business Assistance Grant program twice a year, opening in February and August.

Applications are now open, closing on Friday, 18 September.
