These large corporate conferences and events bring thousands into the city who spend on hospitality, accommodation, transport and visitor attractions.
Unlike venues like cafes and hotels, business events need many weeks lead-in to organise and resume, so venues like the ICC need a clear roadmap for reopening.
The huge supply chain including fresh produce and all forms of catering, staging and audio-visual equipment, trained staff and many others will benefit from the return of this multi-billion dollar sector.
