In actual terms, the volume of finished goods stocks for total manufacturing rose 5.0 percent ($498 million) in the December 2024 quarter compared with the December 2023 quarter.
In actual terms, total manufacturing purchases rose $1.4 billion (5.8 percent), and salaries and wages rose $120 million (2.4 percent) compared with the December 2023 quarter.

Wholesale trade
When adjusted for seasonal effects, the total value of wholesale trade sales rose 0.3 percent ($122 million) in the December 2024 quarter, following a 1.2 percent ($456 million) fall in the September 2024 quarter.
