In actual terms, the volume of finished goods stocks for total manufacturing fell 0.7 percent ($68 million) in the September 2025 quarter compared with the September 2024 quarter.
In actual terms, total manufacturing purchases rose $2.0 billion (9.3 percent), and salaries and wages rose $74 million (1.5 percent) compared with the September 2024 quarter.

Wholesale trade
When adjusted for seasonal effects, the total value of wholesale trade sales rose 2.7 percent ($1.1 billion) in the September 2025 quarter, following a 0.1 percent ($30 million) rise in the June 2025 quarter.
