Busy Earlville street set for a makeover

A busy road in Earlville will get a $1.5 million makeover with new footpaths, lighting and tree planting to achieve an attractive boulevard affect.

Council has endorsed a $1.55 million upgrade of Balaclava Road between Watson Street and Mulgrave Road in Earlville, following on from Stage 1 upgrades on the western end of Balaclava Road in 2018/19.

The project will result in an enhancement to the streetscape and improve safety for vehicles and pedestrians.

The project, set to be largely completed by December 2019, will be funded through the Works for Queensland (W4Q) program Round 3 ($750,000) and the Roads to Recovery (R2R) 2019/20-2023/24 program ($800,000).
