Call for applicants to serve on Dental Board of Australia

The Dental Board of Australia (the Board), one of 15 health profession boards that work together with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency to deliver the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme is asking for people who are passionate about healthcare and protecting the public to indicate their interest in appointment to the Board.

These positions, which have arisen due to the scheduled expiry of current board member appointments, are open to registered dental practitioners and community members although on the role of Board Chair can only be filled by a registered dental practitioner.

The Board is also seeking increased input from First Nations People and is encouraging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons to apply.

Each appointment is for a period of three years.
