NT Police are investigating the theft of mail and personal items throughout Darwin and would like witnesses to come forward.
So far, police have recovered 176 mail items believed to be stolen from homes, Northern Territory Police say.
Investigators believe there is potential for any alleged mail thief to commit offences such as identity theft and for this reason, members of the public are urged to report anything that they view as suspicious or out of the ordinary in their community.
