Call for Information - Unlawful Entry - Katherine

Katherine Police are calling for information in relation to an unlawful entry.

Around 4:00am on 9 October, a group of males attended a store in Katherine where it is believed they forced entry to the building and stole a quantity of alcohol and cigarettes, Northern Territory Police say

Two males, aged 24 and 18, have been arrested and charged with unlawful entry (building), damage to property and stealing.

The 24-year-old male was remanded in custody and is due to appear in Katherine Local Court today.

The 18-year-old male has been bailed to appear in Katherine Local Court on 15 November.

Superintendent Dave Hamlyn said Katherine Police are committed to investigating and prosecuting every person involved in these crimes.

"We share the community’s frustrations and will continue to work with other agencies to maintain a safe community" he said.

Investigations are continuing and further arrests are expected.
