Call for witnesses - Karama

Northern Territory Police are looking for two male youths who were involved in an alleged robbery at a Karama business on the weekend.

Police say that around 8pm on Saturday 21 April, three male youths were allegedly involved in the incident at Karama Shopping Plaza which saw a large amount of cash being stolen, Northern Territory Police say.

One of the youths was apprehended while the remaining two fled on foot. It is believed they were heading in the direction of the Caltex Service Station.

One of the two outstanding males was wearing a long camouflage t-shirt, light blue or denim knee-length shorts, a black cap with a white logo or writing on the front and black covered shoes with a small amount of white detail.

The second outstanding male was wearing along black t-shirt with a white graphic on the front, knee-length shorts – possibly denim, a black cap with a white logo or writing on the front, black shoes with red on them and long black socks with two white stripes around the top.

The apprehended male has been charged with aggravated assault and stealing. He has been remanded to appear in the Darwin Local Court on Friday 27 April 2018.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the youths fleeing the area is asked to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
