Camperdown and Port Campbell have been named bronze winners in the 2026 Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards, recognising the strength of Corangamite's visitor experiences from coast to country.
Camperdown took home bronze in the Small Tourism Town category, while Port Campbell received bronze in the Tiny Tourism Town category at the awards gala in Morwell last night.
Mayor Kate Makin said the result was a proud moment for both communities and a testament to the businesses, tourism operators, volunteers and locals who help make the towns welcoming places to visit.
"To have two Corangamite towns recognised among Victoria's best is a wonderful achievement and reflects the depth and diversity of tourism experiences across our shire," Cr Makin said.
"Camperdown offers heritage streetscapes, volcanic landscapes, vintage shopping, lakeside views and relaxed hospitality, while Port Campbell is a spectacular coastal village with access to beaches, trails and some of Australia's most iconic natural landmarks.
"Having one award-winning town on the Great Ocean Road and another in our beautiful Volcanic Lakes and Plains region is a powerful reminder that visitors can stay longer, travel further and discover so much more across Corangamite."
"We also congratulate Moyne Shire Council and the Port Fairy community on taking out silver in the Small Tourism Town category. Having more towns recognised across our region helps strengthen tourism for everyone and encourages visitors to explore more of what south-west Victoria has to offer."
The Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards, run by the Victoria Tourism Industry Council, celebrate towns that demonstrate a strong commitment to tourism, visitor servicing, industry collaboration and creating memorable visitor experiences.
Entries are assessed through a written submission judged by an independent panel, with public voting also forming part of the awards process.
