Canada Backs Festival Celtique De Québec

Canadian Heritage

Arts and culture are a vital pillar of our social unity and they strengthen our communities. They contribute to our national pride, our collective identity and our economic growth.

Today, Steeve Lavoie, Member of Parliament (Beauport-Limoilou), announced $37,900 in funding for the Festival celtique de Québec. He made the announcement on behalf of the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages.

The investment, made through the Local Festivals component of the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program, will allow the organization to present rich and diverse programming that showcases numerous local artists, artisans and heritage performers. These activities will bring people together from the Québec City area and remind them of the values and traditions that unite us.
