Backgrounder
These 19 metre, 62.5 tonne vessels have cruising speeds of 14 and a half knots, and top speeds of 23 and a half knots. They are high-endurance vessels capable of traveling 120 nautical miles offshore, with the ability to self-right if capsized.
The CCGS Conception Bay is stationed at Twillingate, Newfoundland and Labrador.
