A lucky Canberra resident or visitor has hit the jackpot with a $1.4 million win in the recent Saturday Lotto draw. However, the identity of this new millionaire remains a mystery as they have yet to come forward to claim their prize.
The winning ticket, part of the lucky seven division one winners in the Saturday Lotto draw 4431 on Saturday, 6 January 2024, was purchased at Curtin Newsagency & Post Office, Shop 38, Curtin Shopping Centre, 28 Curtin Place, Curtin. But, with the entry being unregistered, lotto officials have no means to contact the winner directly.
Curtin Newsagency & Post Office owner Thuy Nguyen says the division one winning entry is a momentous occasion for their outlet and they couldn’t be more excited for the mystery winner.
“We’re a family-run business and we’re absolutely thrilled to hear our store had sold a division one winning entry in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw,” she said.

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell says she couldn’t wait to unite Canberra’s latest division one winner with their sensational prize.
“It’s most likely our latest ACT winner has woken up today, gone about their usual morning routine and headed off to work with no idea they’ve won $1.4 million in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw,” she exclaimed.
“We’re urging all players who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket from Curtin Newsagency & Post Office to check their tickets as soon as possible.
“There certainly wouldn’t be any thought of Monday blues if the mystery winner checked their ticket today.
