Car crashes in drive-thru of fast food restaurant, NSW

Investigations are underway after a car has crashed into the drive-thru area of a fast food restaurant in Sydney’s west overnight, NSW Police say.

About 10pm (Sunday 24 June 2018) emergency services were called to Elizabeth Drive, near Smithfield Road, Bonnyrigg Heights, after reports a Honda Accord sedan had crashed into the wall of a drive-thru restaurant.

South West Metropolitan Highway Patrol attended with the assistance of Fairfield City Police Area Command and commenced investigations.

The driver, a 24-year-old woman, and her male passenger were not injured. She was taken to Fairfield Hospital as a precaution due to being pregnant.

The driver was breath tested at the scene and returned a negative result.

No one was injured during the incident.

Fire & Rescue NSW attended and assessed the restaurant for structural damage.

Inquiries continue.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
