Car stolen, break-in; four charged in Guildford

Four men will appear in court following a vehicle stop in Guildford yesterday, NSW Police say.

Shortly after 9am (Monday 29 October 2018) officers from Cumberland Police Area Command stopped a grey Volkswagen Amarok on Bursill Street, Guildford, after reports the car was allegedly stolen.

Inquiries revealed the occupants of the vehicle, four men - aged 20, 23, 28 and 30, were wanted by police for various offences.

Police searched the vehicle, where they located and seized several items including, 13 mobile phones, a cyber shot camera, and a digital audio player.

Clothing allegedly used in an aggravated break-in at a warehouse in Horsley Park on Sunday 28 October 2018 were also seized.

The men were arrested and taken to Granville Police Station.

The 20-year-old man was charged with goods suspected stolen in/on premises, and a warrant for receive/dispose of stolen property.

The 23-year-old man was charged with aggravated break, enter dwelling in company, goods suspected stolen in/on premises, and breach of bail.

The 30-year-old man was charged with breach of bail.

The three men were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Tuesday 30 October 2018).

The 28-year-old man was charged with licence expired less than 2 years before – prior offence. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 31 October 2018).
