Carjacking on Langbourne Drive in Narre Warren

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating following a carjacking in Narre Warren last month, Victoria Police say.

The incident occurred on Langbourne Drive on Wednesday 16 August at 7pm.

The victim, a 36 -year-old Narre Warren South man, was driving his white Toyota Kluger registered ZAH 223, along Langbourne Drive when he was involved in a collision with a dark-coloured sedan.

Both vehicles pulled over to the side of the road with the occupants of the sedan, two men and a woman, getting out of their car and approaching the victim.

The victim was also out of his vehicle by this time when the driver of the other car started pushing and shoving him.

While this was taking place the man got into the victim’s car and drove away.

Minutes later, the other two occupants, the driver and the woman, got back into the sedan and also drove away from the scene on Ormond Road.

Investigators have released images of the victim’s car and a man at a service station shortly after the incident and a computer-generated image of a man they would like to speak to about the incident.
