Carnegie thefts arrest

Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man over a series of burglaries in Carnegie last month.

Investigators allege a number apartment storage cages were broken into and a variety of items stolen.

In relation to the theft, police executed a search warrant on a Noble Park address this morning.

Police allegedly found stolen property, drugs and a prohibited weapon.

A 39-year-old man was arrested and charged with burglary, theft, possession of drugs of dependence, theft of a motor vehicle, handling stolen goods and possessing ammunition without a licence.

He'll appear before the Moorabbin Magistrates Court later today.
