A Cranbourne family had a rude awakening when they discovered a burglar in the roof of their house this morning, Victoria Police say.
Narre Warren police were on patrol when they were flagged down by the family on Averne Street about midnight.
The male offender fled the scene and was arrested by officers nearby.
A 41-year-old Cranbourne man is currently in custody and is expected to face the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court today.
