CCTV footage released after shots fired - Merrylands

Police investigating a shooting in Sydney's west have released CCTV footage in an appeal for public assistance.

About 2am on Monday 9 September 2019, emergency services were called to a property in Lockwood Street, Merrylands, following reports shots had been fired from a passing vehicle.

No one was injured.

A crime scene was established with detectives from Cumberland Police Area Command commencing an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Initial inquiries suggest the shooting occurred at 12.45am the same day.

As investigations continue, detectives have released CCTV vision of a dark SUV vehicle in an appeal for information.

Investigators are keen to speak with the driver, who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
