CCTV images released, appeal after armed robbery - Kingsford

Police are appealing for information and have released CCTV images after an armed robbery in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs overnight.

About midnight (Wednesday 28 October 2020), police were called to a supermarket on Anzac Parade, Kingsford, after an unknown man – armed with a knife – entered the store and threatened the employee, a 21-year-old woman.

The man stole cash before running away.

Police have been told two members of the public confronted the man; however, they were also threatened.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, detectives have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.

He is depicted as being of Caucasian appearance, 170cm tall, of solid build, wearing a black cap, black jacket, grey pants and grey sneakers.
