CCTV images released as police probe theft of designer clothing, NSW

Police are appealing for information after several items of designer clothing were stolen from retail stores at Paddington last month.

About 4.30pm on Thursday 11 August 2016 a woman entered a retail store on Glenmore Road, NSW Police say.

After the woman left the shop staff noticed that a ‘Lavish’ brand lace skirt valued at $1500 could not be located.

In a second incident about 5pm on the same day, a woman entered a clothing store on William Street.

When she left the store staff could not locate a black ‘Chanel’ brand dress with pearls around the neck, arms and pockets valued at more than $1500.

Police have been told that on both occasions the property appears to have been concealed under a jacket or coat.

Officers from Rose Bay Local Area Command are investigating these two recent incidents along with several others and believe a person shown in CCTV images may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The person is described to police as being female of Caucasian appearance and in her 40s. She has a medium build and is about 175cm tall with shoulder length hair.

Police have urged the woman or anyone with information about her to come forward.
