CCTV released after woman dies in fatal crash, NSW

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they believe can assist with inquiries following a single vehicle crash in Sydney’s west.

Shortly before 6.30am today emergency services were called to Waldron Road near Campbell Hill Road after a Holden Commodore station wagon struck a concrete traffic island and then a power pole, NSW Police say.

A woman believed to be in her 30’s who was an occupant in the vehicle, was found deceased on a footpath nearby.

Police will allege three other occupants fled the scene.

Officers from Crash Investigation Unit have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries police would like to speak to the man depicted in the CCTV and still.

As part of the investigation, police would also like community assistance to help identify the woman who died at the scene.

She is described as being of Asian appearance, about 25 to 35 years of age with long brown hair and of medium build. She was wearing black work boots, grey tracksuit pants, black undershirt and a grey hooded zip up jumper.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the occupants, or about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
