CCTV released in Bendigo fire investigation

Bendigo Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released CCTV footage as they continue their investigation into a suspicious fire at a Bendigo clothing store early Tuesday morning.

Police have been told witnesses heard glass breaking and saw two offenders pour an unknown substance in the window of the Wills Street store just before 12.30am.

The fire quickly engulfed the premises before the pair were seen running from the scene towards Mitchell Street.

The store sustained significant damage during the blaze.

Investigators believe one of the offenders accidentally set his right arm on fire during the incident and may require medical attention.

CCTV and images have been released of two males who detectives believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The first male is described as being about 180cm tall, with a solid build and was wearing black pants, a black hooded top and black shoes.

The second male is described as being about 170cm tall, with a thin build and was wearing black pants, a black hooded top, black shoes and a white backpack.
