Police have released CCTV as investigations continue into two incidents at a salon in Burwood last month.
On separate occasions - about 12.20am on Wednesday 2 July 2025 and about 3am Saturday 5 July 2025 - police were called to a shop on Burwood Road, Burwood, following reports several males were seen attempting to gain access to the premises.
During the first incident, officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command attended and found an accelerant had been poured throughout the premises, however no damage was sustained to the premises.
A crime scene was established, and police commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police have charged one man in relation to the first incident. He remains before the courts.
As investigations are ongoing, police are releasing CCTV vision of men they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.
In the first incident, a man was depicted wearing black pants, a black hooded jumper, a grey and white checkered shirt and grey/white sneakers.
In the second incident, the men were armed with an axe and attempted to gain access to the premises, however they were disturbed.
One of the men depicted in the vision is seen wearing a yellow high-visibility hooded jumper, black pants, grey/white sneakers, with a second man wearing a yellow high-visibility hooded jumper and black sneakers.
Police are also appealing for information about a black Subaru Forrester that is believed to have been used in the incidents. The vehicle is believed to have been travelling with stolen number plates.
