Detectives investigating a break-in at a warehouse in Sydney’s west last month have released CCTV to identify people who may be able to assist with inquires, NSW Police say.
About 6am on Wednesday 15 February 2017, police were called to a warehouse on Kangaroo Avenue, Eastern Creek, after staff reported a break-in overnight.
Police from Mt Druitt Local Area Command established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.
It is alleged that at about 11.30pm (14 February 2017), three men drove a truck through a roller door to the warehouse.
After gaining access, the men used a forklift to load televisions onto the truck before driving away.
Detectives from the Property Crime Squad’s Breaking Unit are investigating the break-in and stealing under Strike Force Seeliger.
As their inquiries continue, strike force detectives have released CCTV from inside the warehouse and are appealing for assistance from the public to assist with their inquiries.
Property Crime Squad Commander, Detective Superintendent Murray Chapman, said investigators believe the break-in was targeted and well-planned.
"The CCTV clearly depicts an organised group, who know exactly what they are after, and moved swiftly to get in and out in a matter of minutes," Det Supt Chapman said.
"In this short period of time, the factory sustained thousands of dollars of damage, and the thieves got away with property believed to have a total retail value of the more than $80,000.
"While we are following a number of lines of inquiry in relation to the stolen televisions, we are hoping someone might recognise the men in the CCTV and help us identify them."
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
