CCTV Vision released as investigations continue after police vehicles damaged - Merrylands

Detectives investigating two separate incidents of malicious damage to police vehicles in Merrylands and Granville have now released CCTV vision in the hope of identifying those responsible.

About 10.30pm on Sunday (15 December 2019), a police vehicle and a police officer's private vehicle were parked on Memorial Drive, when they sustained paint damage after a corrosive substance was thrown on them.

A similar incident had occurred previously on Thursday 28 November 2019 outside Granville Police Station where one police vehicle was damaged.

As inquiries continue, investigators have noe released CCTV of a man who may be able to assistare looking for a man described as being Mediterranean/Middle Eastern in appearance with short grey hair and a moustache. He is about 80kg, about 160-165cm tall with an obese build and aged in his 50s.

Police believe the man may have been driving a single cab Toyota Hilux with an aluminium tray.
