Statement from CFA Acting CEO Catherine Greaves
The Minister for Police and Emergency Services has announced that Greg Wilson has been appointed Chair of the CFA Board, effective from today.
Greg is currently Chair of the Transport Accident Commission and the Victorian State Emergency Service and has extensive emergency management sector experience as well as a background in governance, industrial law, public policy and financial management.
Greg brings to CFA significant knowledge and experience in forest fire management, bushfires and cross-agency emergency response through his previous role as Secretary of the Department of Sustainability and Environment, as well as overseeing the operation of Emergency Management Victoria as Secretary of the former Department of Justice and Regulation.
I would like to congratulate Greg on his appointment and, as an Executive Team, we look forward to working with him as we continue our transformational journey as a volunteer fire service.
