Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week for essential maintenance work on bridges at Curlwaa and Wentworth.

Routine maintenance on Wentworth Bridge, which crosses the Darling River at Wentworth, and Abbotsford Bridge, which crosses the Murray River between Curlwaa and Yelta, will be carried out to provide a safer road for motorists.
Work on Wentworth Bridge will be carried out from Tuesday 14 to Friday 17 October between 7am and 5pm, weather permitting.
Traffic control will be in place and includes single lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 30 km/h.
To minimise impact to the community, work on Abbotsford Bridge will be carried out at night between 8pm and 6am from Monday 20 to Friday 24 October, weather permitting.
Abbotsford Bridge will be fully closed between these times with a detour in place across George Chaffey Bridge, between Buronga and Mildura, via Meridian Road, Sturt Highway and Silver City Highway.
Heavy vehicles will detour at the southern end of George Chaffey Bridge along Benetook Avenue.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, follow the direction of signs and traffic control and allow an extra 20 minutes travel time when the detour is in place.
