Charges Filed in Slacks Creek Homicide Investigation

Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 28-year-old Carina Heights woman for the murder of a 41-year-old Slacks Creek man.

Around 1.14am on 5 December, police attended Rowanda Street and located a man who had sustained a gunshot wound.

The 41-year-old Slacks Creek man was transported to hospital in a life-threatening condition and was later declared deceased.

This afternoon, 8 December, detectives charged a 28-year-old Carina Heights woman with one count each of murder, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and arson involving a motor vehicle.

A 42-year-old Eagleby man has also been charged with one count each of accessory to murder, arson involving a motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle without a driver licence and using a vehicle for which a number plate attached recorded as cancelled. He was additionally charged with two counts of failure to appear and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

They are both due to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, 9 December.
