Charges following a disturbance at Manoora

Police have charged four people after officers were called to a disturbance in Manoora on Sunday, June 4, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged an ambulance officer who had been called to a Murray Street residence around 9.40am was confronted by several people.

The officer was allegedly abused and threatened before a bottle and wheelie bin were thrown at the QAS vehicle.

Police attended the scene and were also confronted by a number of people with officers arresting two men and two women.

An 18-year-old man was charged with obstructing an ambulance officer.

A 26-year-old woman was charged with obstruct and assault police and a 22-year-old woman was charged with obstruct police. A 25-year-old man was charged with public nuisance.

All four are from Manunda and due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on June 21.

No one was injured during the incident.
