Charges following armed robbery in Bayswater last year

Knox Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged two men in relation to an armed robbery in Bayswater last year, Victoria Police say.

It is alleged two men attended the Scoresby Road store just after midnight on 5 December and sprayed an employee with what is believed to be petrol, before making demands for cash.

The men stole an amount of cash before fleeing on foot.

The 45-year-old female employee wasn’t physically injured as a result of the incident.

A 26-year-old and 33-year-old man, both from Wonthaggi, have been charged with armed robbery and will appear in court at a later date.
