Charges following Taylors Lakes fatal

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal collision in Taylors Lakes yesterday (17 March), Victoria Police say.

A 30-year-old man, who was the alleged driver of a truck towing a tipper trailer, was released from hospital this afternoon and arrested by police.

The man, who is from no fixed place of abode, has been charged with culpable driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death, reckless conduct endangering life, drive in a manner dangerous, and careless driving.

He appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this evening and was remanded in custody to appear at the Magistrates’ Court again on 21 March.
