Charges - Fraud - Darwin

A 53-year-old Darwin female has been issued with a notice to appear to attend the Darwin Local Court on allegations of fraud, Northern Territory Police say.

She is facing a charge of obtaining a benefit by deception, to the value of $17,575.05.

Detective Superintendent Karen Sanderson said that this was part of an ongoing investigation by the Major Fraud Unit into allegations of fraud against the Northern Territory Government’s Pensioner and Carer Concession Scheme.

The matter has been listed for its first mention at the Darwin Local Court on 29 May 2018.
