Charges laid after police cars damaged in Auburn

A man will face court after allegedly damaging several police cars in Sydney’s south west overnight, NSW Police say.

About 8.15pm (Tuesday 20 February 2018), a man approached the police vehicles parked outside Auburn police station and allegedly threw beer bottles at their windscreens.

Four police vehicles were damaged before the 52-year-old man was arrested by officers inside the police station.

He was charged with four counts of malicious damage and refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today (Wednesday 21 February 2018).

Repairs are being made to return the police vehicles to service.
