Charges laid following Dandenong shooting

Police have charged a 31-year-old man in relation to an incident where shots were allegedly fired at police in Stud Road, Dandenong on 7 March, Victoria Police say.

The Dandenong man was arrested on 4 April in South Melbourne and taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Armed Crime Squad detectives charged the man later that day with 30 offences, including:

?- reckless conduct endangering life / person

? - possess traffickable quantity of unregistered firearms

?- prohibited person possess / use firearm

?- 3 x prohibited person Possess firearm

?- 2 x possess cartridge ammunition

?- 3 x theft of motor vehicle

?- handling stolen goods/proceeds of crime

?- 2 x possessing drug of dependence

?- 3 x drive whilst disqualified

He has been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 28 June for a committal hearing.
