Charges laid over historic sexual offences in Northern Beaches

A Queensland man has been charged over alleged historic sexual offences against three women on the Northern Beaches, NSW Police say.

Police will allege a 62-year-old man sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl and two women, aged in their 30s and 40s, while employed at a psychology clinic in Avalon between 2004 and 2009.

Officers from Northern Beaches Local Area Command commenced an investigation.

With the assistance of Queensland Police Service, the man was arrested at his home in St Lucia, Queensland, on Monday 29 January 2018.

He was charged with 13 counts of aggravated indecent assault, aggravated sexual assault, and aggravated incite act of indecency.

The man appeared before Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday 30 January 2018, where he was granted strict conditional bail.

He is due to appear before Manly Local Court on Monday 5 February 2018.
