Charges laid over shooting in Penshurst

A man has been charged after a shot was fired into a home in Sydney’s south yesterday, NSW Police say.

Police will allege a 43-year-old woman was involved in an argument with two men at a home on Argyle Street, Penshurst about 3.30am yesterday.

Just before 4am, a shot was fired into the home.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the woman at the scene for minor grazes believed to be caused by debris.

No one else was injured.

About 10.30pm yesterday, police attached to St George Local Area Command stopped a car on Wolli Creek Road, Arncliffe.

Police allegedly seized cash, illegal drugs and a home-made electronic weapon from the vehicle. These items will be subject to further investigation.

A 23-year-old man was arrested and taken to St George Police Station where he was charged with fire firearm into a dwelling house.

He was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court today.

A 44-year-old female driver was arrested and charged with disqualified driving. She was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court today.
