A woman is due to appear in Central Local Court today charged over an alleged fraud totalling more than $250,000, NSW Police say.
Police from Newtown Local Area Command were contacted by a business in St Peters, after $258,538 had allegedly been transferred from the business into a private account, between February and March this year.
Following inquiries, a 34-year-old employee was arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station where she was charged with 34 counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception.
The woman, from Bankstown, was refused bail and will appear in Central Local Court tomorrow.
