Northern Territory Police have arrested a 25-year-old man for kava related offences.
Around 11:45am on 17 January, police arrested the man in relation to the possession and supply of a commercial quantity of kava in 2016.
A search warrant was later conducted at his residence which located three suitcases containing 24.18 kilograms of kava.
The man has been charged in relation to the 2016 incident and an additional charge of possess a traffickable quantity of kava following yesterday's search warrant.
Further charges are expected to be laid at a later date.
He was bailed to appear at Nhulunbuy Local Court on 12 February 2019.
