Charges relating to fake emergency services truck

Police have charged a teenage boy on summons in relation to an incident involving a mocked up emergency services vehicle in Brighton last year, Victoria Police say.

Police seized a truck and arrested the teenager on 17 October 2017 after he was allegedly driving a vehicle with emergency lights and sirens in Melbourne’s Bayside.

Heavy Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested the 16-year-old in Brighton and the truck was seized by police at the scene.

The teen has been charged on summons with 112 offences including reckless conduct endangering serious injury, obtain property by deception and theft of motor vehicle.

He has been summonsed to appear in a Children’s Court at a later date.
