Charges: Wounding, Bungalow

A 44-year-old man has been charged after a man was stabbed at Bungalow, in Cairns, yesterday afternoon (February 24).

It will be alleged at approximately 5.10pm at a Morehead Street address a 44-year-old man approached a second 44-year-old man and stabbed him with a knife to the upper back.

A 44-year-old local man was transported to Cairns Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police arrested a 44-year-old local man at the scene, and declared the property a crime scene.

The man has been charged with acts intended to maim/disfigure/disable.

His bail was refused and he is expected to appear before Cairns Magistrates Court this morning (February 25).
